Job Description:

  • Develop and implement new and existing rendering techniques by writing code that makes complete use of the PlayStation hardware.
  • Work on the graphics engine to implement efficient and stunning industry defining visuals as required by the art department. 
  • Fix bugs in the rendering code and perform low-level hardware optimization to make sure the game runs at real-time frame rates.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Master of Interactive Technology degree in Digital Game Development, Computer Science, or in a related field
  • Math skills with an emphasis in 3D math
  • Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages
  • Experience with DirectX12, Vulkan or other modern graphics or compute APIs
  • Experience with HLSL/GLSL or other equivalent shader languages
  • Console or PC programming experience

Job Site:  

  • Santa Monica, California. 
  • Position allows some work from home flexibility, with schedule to be approved by manager. 
  • Must be able to work on site as required.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

In addition, this role may be eligible for bonus and SIE’s top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products. Please note depending on employment type these benefits may vary.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below. $90,000—$155,000 USD
