The Growth Alliance enables HelloFresh to expand by getting more customers to try, recommend, and return back to our products. We build digital customer facing products that are used by customers all over the world. Our teams work at a global scale on services like scalable web mono repo infrastructure, checkout funnel on web and native apps, discounting and wallet services, price experimentation infrastructure, and referral marketing technology.

The role

As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll join a cross-functional team building features to empower key internal users at HelloFresh to develop and plan the products millions of customers will get access to across our dozen-plus markets. You will develop engaging user experiences iteratively using modern technologies with focus on accessibility, scalability and maintainability.

What you’ll do

  • Work in a cross-functional team with a product owner, engineers, designers and analysts;
  • Help to enable your product team to iterate fast and learn about our users by planning, building, testing and launching features;
  • Collaborate with engineers across your department and the company to continuously improve our code base, systems and processes;
  • Design and develop solutions that can continue to scale;
  • Coach and mentor other team members through workshops, pair programming, and code reviews;
  • Contribute to recruiting by attracting, reviewing and interviewing candidates.
  • Actively promote a culture of knowledge sharing within (and outside) the team, where insights, best practices, and lessons learned are openly discussed and shared among team members.
What you’ll bring
  • You have at least 2-4 years of experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript;
  • You have experience with component based architecture using NextJS, Reactjs/Redux;
  • You have extensive experience on binding frontend and backend services together;
  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams, using agile frameworks;
  • You can interface very well with product designers and have testing experience
  • You have a strong interest in working with internal tools to improve the employee experience for Customer Benefits management at HelloFresh.

Interacting with front-end developers, designers, product managers and our teams around the world is very much part of our day-to-day, so communication skills are vital. We are looking for strong problem-solvers who can apply their engineering skills to a wide range of platforms and environments, while also acting as an ambassador to coach team members and stakeholders.
