The Role

Role Expectations and Responsibilities  

The GTM Demand Generation Principal will be a leader on our GTM Strategy and Operations team. The GTM Strategy and Operations team at Personio is a key strategic partner for our sales and marketing leaders across strategy and analytics, operations and process and tools. Team members are experts in business strategy, operations, analytical and strategic thinking. They are innately curious and strive to always understand and better the status quo.

As the GTM Demand Generation Principal you are a catalyst for growth with a focus on Demand Generation across all channels (Marketing, Sales Development, Partnerships, others) for all priority markets. With that growth comes the increasing demand for data to support decision-making, set and track goals, predict the future and automate processes. Your role sits at the intersection of analytics, strategy, process and results-driven execution. As a strategic partner, you will work closely with our marketing, sales, partnerships and data teams, building insights and interpreting business performance to identify opportunities to accelerate growth or drive efficiencies.

Here is a taste of what you will be doing

Own strategic, organizational and operational projects designed to increase velocity and quality of pipeline generation, sales and marketing productivity and operational efficiency

Love data: you will want to build and implement marketing and sales analytics and business intelligence which will enable the global GTM organization to successfully drive pipeline growth, execute on selling strategies, build greater customer intimacy, and achieve revenue goals

Dashboard creation: In partnership with our data analysts, you will need to create dashboards that allow stakeholders to monitor and analyze key metrics related to the business. These dashboards should be interactive and updated in real time

Business strategy: You will need to work closely with the leadership team and other analysts to develop and execute business strategies based on data-driven insights. This includes identifying opportunities for growth, optimizing operations, and reducing costs

Partner with cross functional teams such as the Data, Product or Finance org on specific projects

What you need to succeed

  • 5 years of experience as a business analyst, ideally providing insights to Marketing or Sales in a B2B SaaS environment, OR 5 years of experience in Strategy Consulting or Investment Banking, OR similar experience

  • Executive level presence and confidence acting as business partner to senior stakeholders across the organization. Role is inherently cross-functional and at the heart of the business; you will need to influence without direct authority.

  • Outstanding Project and Program Management skills. You can effectively drive cross-functional projects end-to-end.

  • Visionary on change with ambition for the role, responsible for top business priorities. Best practice leader.

  • Strong drive and a get-shit-done attitude, you are a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.

  • Analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity for uncovering insights beyond surface-level numbers, identifying trends, patterns, and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement. Strong analytical and technical skillset.
