Get to Know our Team:
The Agoda Homes team supports a wide range of non-hotel accommodation (Homes) types, including apartments, homes (一軒家), Machiya (町家), and Minpaku (民泊). With the always-changing market, this team uses its expertise to find creative solutions and innovate new products to fulfill the business needs of non-hotel accommodations and offer the best to travelers.
The Opportunity:
The key objective of the role is to provide leadership in the Agoda Homes business in Japan. The Senior Homes Manager leads the team to expand the supply of non-hotel accommodations and enhance the quality of that supply (for example, availability and pricing) within Japan.
This role is based in our Tokyo, Japan office and reports to the North Asia Regional Manager. Agoda Homes is an international team, and you will have frequent opportunities to work with colleagues from different countries.
In this Role, you’ll get to:
- Manage a small team of Homes Managers. Coach and provide recommendations to the members; improve team productivity and effectiveness by building the skills and capabilities of them.
- Engage directly with the partners as well as the management of your team.
- Acquire new accommodation partners and reactivate those that have churned.
- Enhance the quality of the supply (for example, availability, pricing, and content) from existing partners.
- Solve complex operational and technical issues for partners.
- Implement tools to regularly track, review, and report on team performance against KPIs and goals.
- Analyze the Japanese market, create strategic plans, and align priorities with the management team.
- Analyzes large data sets to uncover new opportunities.
- Plans and executes initiatives to accelerate business growth and team productivity. As a senior member of the Agoda Homes team, you will be expected to deliver projects not only for Japan, but also for the global team.

What you’ll Need to Succeed:
- Experience in hotels, OTAs (Online Travel Agencies), or e-commerce is a plus.
- Proven leadership skills. Team management experience preferred.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence internal stakeholders.
- Experience leading complex and cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills. Able to identify opportunities and make decisions based on facts and data.
- Ability to analyze large data sets. Ability to query databases (SQL) preferred (must learn if not experienced).
- Strong Excel and data visualization skills.
- Japanese and English: Business level
