Head of Finance (f/m/d)

The Role
As our Head of Finance, you will manage and optimize all financial activities and lead our Finance team. Reporting to our CEO/CFO, you will be responsible for the accurate reporting of financial results, managing Zenjob’s financial affairs and coordinating with the audit firm, tax advisory firm, banks, tax office and external service providers.

Our growth financing round of $50 million (€45 million) from February 2022 is helping us to scale our platform and add new data-based automation features for our rapidly growing customer base..
Your role in our team
- Lead a team of up to 9 FTEs, with plans for further hiring as the company grows.
- Partner with the CFO to support strategic decisions through quantitative analyses.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product & Engineering, Operations, People & Culture, and Legal departments.
- Establish structures and processes for national and international expansion within the EU.
- Drive business plan development, budget processes, and monthly financial closings with presentations to management and shareholders.
What you'll bring
- At least 2 years of people management experience, including team leadership, hiring, feedback, and training programs.
- You have worked in fast-paced, dynamic companies (e.g. start-ups, scale-ups) before and enjoy this hands-on and pragmatic collaboration with stakeholders
- Ability to work hands-on in operational tasks and support financial decision-making.
- Strong organizational skills for leading company-wide projects and a keen interest in process improvement and documentation.
- Proficient in Excel, preferably SQL, with experience in databases/BI systems and good knowledge of accounting standards (P&L and balance sheet); familiarity with DATEV and annual audit processes; fluent in German and English(oral and writing).
