YOUR MISSION

About Glovo XL:

Glovo XL is a business specialized in on-demand delivery of big basket orders. With a presence in Poland and Portugal, we provide our customers instant access to the inventory of the biggest Polish supermarket chain, allowing them to have their groceries delivered in less than 2 hours. 

Our current goal is to build world-class logistics applications for big basket orders. This will allow us to unify our technology in the geographies we currently operate in and take on new challenges while having fun in the process.

THE JOURNEY

Join Glovo XL as we revolutionize Grocery Logistics in Poland! Lead our logistics operations with the largest grocery partner and beyond.

As the Head of Glovo XL in Poland, you'll drive growth and profitability for our Grocery LaaS solutions. Manage a dedicated team across operations, finance, and live ops.

Responsibilities include implementing data-driven plans for operational excellence and financial success. Own Glovo XL Poland's P&L and foster partner relationships from negotiation to LaaS solution roll-out. Coordinate with development teams for seamless technology integration.

  • Be the primary person responsible in Poland for selling and implementing LaaS solutions for Grocery partners (Glovo XL).
  • Act as the Glovo XL leader in Poland, overseeing the business unit with a strategic 360 view and managing a team of operations, finance, and live ops professionals.
  • Execute the strategy to achieve growth and profitability targets for Poland.
  • Take ownership of Glovo XL Poland's P&L, collaborating with central finance, operations, and a major grocery retailer, utilizing data to drive strategic decisions and implement projects to improve operational and financial metrics.
  • Lead contract negotiations to establish strong partnerships with sustainable economics.
  • Understand partner needs, evaluate product-market fit, and provide feedback to HQ team.
  • Own the relationship with partners for LaaS solutions, serving as the main point of contact for requests, negotiations, development, implementation, and roll-out.
  • Share partner feedback with product and operations teams to drive improvements.
  • Coordinate with development teams on technical and operational matters.
  • Analyze metrics and implement projects to enhance operational and financial performance. Operational hunger is a must!
  • Monitor partners' daily performance and provide proactive support.
  • Track financial aspects and operational metrics including implementation costs and profitability for key partners, ensuring the LaaS service is a success.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

Experience

  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, operations, retail, project management, or business development, including at least 2 years managing fast-paced teams.
  • Proven track record in launcher / ops roles preferred.

Skills

  • Customer-oriented with a strong operational drive and hands-on attitude.
  • Proactive project management skills with a focus on what moves the needle.
  • Analytical thinker who loves to solve problems (advanced Excel skills are a must).
  • Ability to effectively communicate and drive change, with strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in understanding software needs and facilitating communication between partners and technical teams.

Languages

  • Fluent in Polish and English.
