YOUR MISSION

We are looking for a strategic, data-driven, and 360° leader to take over the dual responsibility of Operations and Finance for Glovo Croatia.

As the Head of Operations, Finance & Strategy, you will be the General Manager’s right hand. Your mission is to achieve best-in-class delivery performance while ensuring the financial health and profitability of the country. You will turn complex data into real impact—improving courier earnings and customer experience while meticulously managing the P&L, budgeting, and strategic growth projects.

THE JOURNEY

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Drive the strategic agenda for Croatia, identifying growth opportunities and shaping long-term plans aligned with the global vision.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for HQ on all financial, accounting, and operational performance statements.
  • Assess new business opportunities, new vertical developments, and lead the incubation of special projects.

Operational Excellence

  • Analyse operational data obsessively to optimize delivery time, courier efficiency, and price per order.
  • Manage the supply chain status to ensure a "WOW!" customer experience and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure seamless service quality.

Financial Steering & Profitability

  • Full ownership of the Country P&L: prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, analyzing forecasts vs. deviations.
  • Lead cross-functional projects focused on improving profitability and cost-saving plans.
  • Oversee treasury, financial policies, and coordinate the preparation of Financial Statements in compliance with Local GAAP.
  • Supervise relationships with external auditors, administrations, and consultants.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team across Operations and Finance, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and professional development of local talent.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in Operations, Strategy Consulting, or Finance roles (ideally a mix of both).
  • Leadership: 3+ years in a managerial role with a proven track record of developing talent.
  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, or a similar quantitative field.
  • Analytical Mindset: You are a "data freak" with SQL knowledge and advanced Excel skills. You can manage the big picture without losing sight of the smallest detail.
  • Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and Local GAAP (experience with SAP/Business Central is a plus).
  • Problem Solver: A hands-on, autonomous attitude with the ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Communication: Excellent stakeholder management skills; ability to influence both local and global teams.
  • Languages: Native/Fluent Croatian and C1+ English are mandatory.

Individuals representing diverse profiles, and abilities, encompassing various genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds, are less likely to apply for this role if they do not possess solid experience in 100% of these areas. Even if it seems you don't meet our musts don't let it stop you, we are all about finding the best talent out there! Skills can be learned, and embracing diversity is invaluable.

We believe driven talent deserves:

  • 🌟 An enticing equity plan that lets you own a piece of the action.
  • 💪 Top-notch private health insurance to keep you at your peak.
  • 🍔 Monthly Glovo credit to satisfy your cravings!
  • 🏊 Discounted gym memberships to keep you energized.
  • 🏖️ Extra time off, the freedom to work from home two days a week, and the opportunity to work from anywhere for up to three weeks a year!
  • 👪 Enhanced parental leave, and office-based nursery.
  • 🧠 Online therapy and wellbeing benefits to ensure your mental well-being.

Here at Glovo, we thrive on diversity, we believe it enhances our teams, products, and culture. We know that the best ideas come from a mashup of brilliant diverse minds. This is why we are committed to providing equal opportunities to talent from all backgrounds - all genders, racial/diverse backgrounds, abilities, ages, sexual orientations and all other unique characteristics that make you YOU. We will encourage you to bring your authentic self to work, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels heard.
