Are you ready to take on a challenge that will shape the future of aerospace production? As the Head of Production Planning and Control (PP&C) at Lilium, you will have a pivotal role in driving the way we work in our production organization. Managing a small team that will grow throughout this year, you will drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in our processes.

The PP&C team provides the central drumbeat for the production organization and connects engineering, procurement, logistics, production, and testing.

As we start serial production of our ground-breaking eVTOL jet, you will gather detailed information from across the factory to create forecasts for the shop floor, enabling them to build robust production plans for the coming weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with specialist teams like propulsion, structures, interiors, battery, avionics, EWIS, etc to gather detailed requirements enabling you to forecast for the shop floor.
  • Proactively prepare the shop floor for incoming production in terms of timing, volume, and resources.
  • Take charge of the aircraft production program across all shops, overseeing the type certification and ramp-up phases.
  • Manage demand, inventory, and schedule in the production organization, driving operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Guide Digital Transformation of Production Planning. Lead current and future IT projects towards a fully digital adaptation of production planning processes.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing production team.
  • You will collaborate with engineering management functions, program, commercial, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) teams, fostering a collaborative and cohesive working environment.
  • Establish KPIs and track progress
  • Review ongoing projects shaping the IT landscape and support side projects within your department, keeping us at the forefront of technological advancements.
  • Manage your department's budget, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and investments in our long-term growth.

About you:

We are looking for a production planning and control expert who establishes strong cross-functional collaboration to drive success. A proven team manager who can inspire and lead production teams to achieve exceptional results in a first-of-its-kind environment.

Experience gained within a prototyping or complex, customizable production environment will be advantageous.

Agile and results-oriented – you will love to work in a dynamic and fast-moving workplace, feeling at home working under pressure to achieve and exceed KPIs

  • You should bring proven production planning experience in the aerospace, automotive, or relevant industries
  • Expertise in scheduling planning and controlling production processes.
  • A degree in management, (industrial) engineering, or an equivalent field
  • Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in German is desirable.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, and APS systems will enable you to lead the digital transformation of our production planning processes.
