Betsson Group is now looking for a Tech Lead in our Platform Devops team. Sounds interesting then read on! 

As a Tech Lead for the Platform Devops Engineer team, you will be a liaison between the technical team, the area architect and other Tech Leads. You will be the main representative for your team when it comes to bringing new technologies into the production environment. You will also be the spokesperson for the team when liaising with architect and other Infra representatives. 

Your day to day will be an exciting combination of the following responsibilities: 

• Increase collaboration within the team as well with the architecture team to share knowledge and discuss implementation details.
• Assist other teams in understanding what a Platform Devops Engineer can help them to do, what the limitations are and how to properly plan projects and initiatives.
• Lead Capacity planning for the team’s production environment.
• Work closely with architects within the area to ensure that the direction set by the architect is being communicated, aligned & implemented within the team.
• Participate in sprint planning, task estimation and refinement.
• Help validate technical improvements with Architects and the team, making sure we’re following best practices and quality.
• Be able to explain the benefits of technical improvements to both technical and non-technical audience.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform to ensure consistent and scalable deployment of different components across various environments.
• Serve as the AWS Edge technologies expert, designing and implementing secure, scalable architectures while optimizing performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Be the lead in Maintaining / updating / developing all edge services we use – Lambda, Cloudfront functions, CDN, WAF and future features which we might need to develop whilst always keeping in mind security and cost optimisation in mind. 
• Infrastructures, troubleshooting Platform Devops Engineer and performance issues.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation. 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, technical degree beneficial.
• AWS Cloud practitioner or equivalent would be beneficial.
• 3+ years’ experience with most of the following technologies:
  • • AWS Cloudfront Services
    • Lambda
    • Edge Services
    • Terraform
    • Git  
    • Cloudfront Functions
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of engineers and technicians, including resource planning, workload allocation, performance feedback, and mentoring.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS recommended) and their Edge services.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Assist the Team Lead and participate in the selection and interview of new team members.
• Implement and enforce security best practices, conducting regular audits.
• Validate technical improvements with architects and the team, ensuring adherence to best practices. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
