YOUR MISSION

At Glovo we are looking for a motivated and hands-on International Tax Associate for the African region that will be playing a key role in the team and will be in charge of tax matters of Glovo in the most challenging regions where Glovo has a presence in.

THE JOURNEY

  • Be responsible for advisory tax matters by analysing tax implications derived from the day-to-day of the business
  • Give tax advice and support to the local teams and other HQ stakeholders on both direct and indirect tax topics
  • Give support to the local teams in Inspections and other tax topics that may arise in the countries
  • Be involved in Global projects such as DAC7, Pillar Two and potential restructuring transactions
  • Be dealing with local tax advisors when their support and/or advice is required.
  • Evaluate new business initiatives launched in the Glovo regions to determine their tax treatment.

What You Will Bring To The Ride

  • 2-4 years of previous experience working in a similar role or in a Law firm/ Big4
  • Strong Spanish tax knowledge and experience in working with other countries, preferably within the Glovo region.
  • Provide tax support to different stakeholders such as Finance, Business, Legal, Sales, etc.
  • Research and analyse international and domestic tax aspects using tax research tools.
  • Ability to stay organised in a fast-paced environment and prioritise multiple projects.
  • Problem solving skills and get things done attitude.
  • Efficiency, flexibility and proactiveness.
  • Team worker.
  • Ability to develop in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
