Duties & Responsibilities

Based in Mumbai, the VOG Data Specialist will serve as a key member of Lincoln’s Valuations and Opinions Group, with the primary role of supporting Lincoln’s next generation valuation platform and proprietary valuation model and assuring and improving the data quality that is aggregated in Lincoln’s proprietary private market database. The VOG Data Specialist will work closely with technical teams and bankers to understand Lincoln’s proprietary valuation model and process and associated data challenges, using technology as a tool to address these challenges. The VOG Data Specialist will gain a deep understanding of Lincoln’s Valuations and Opinions Group business.

The VOG Data Specialist position at Lincoln provides an excellent opportunity to work in a demanding, yet supportive, team-oriented environment. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support Lincoln’s next generation valuation platform by performing transformation and load of existing valuation data from a variety of sources into the next generation platform, performing validation of new valuation functionality and reporting enhancements
  • Supportinitiatives related to data quality enhancement in Lincoln’s proprietary private market database
  • Identify and populate missing or incomplete data in Lincoln’s proprietary private market database by reviewing valuation models
  • Support the intake of unstructured company financial information using Lincoln’s custom configured machine learning data extraction algorithms
  • Interpret financial statements to adjust the financial statement data extractions
  • Develop expertise in the tools Lincoln uses for valuations and valuation data management
  • Develop an understanding of the structure, format, and purpose of Lincoln’s private market database
  • Participate in general ad hoc projects
  • Perform other tasks as required

Other Qualifications:
  • Passionfor finance, data, technical problem solving, business analytics and financial reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
  • CFA,CPA, or equivalent professional certification highly desired
  • Strongfinancial and technical aptitude
  • Analyticalfoundation with understanding of financial statements and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Goodwritten and verbal English communication skills
  • Work experience analyzing or preparing company financials a plus
  • Work experience with financial reporting a plus
  • Workexperience with financial modeling and valuations a plus
  • Experience with SQL or PowerBI a plus
  • Ability to periodically work extended hours (in the office or remotely) as required to support the business in meeting deadlines
