The Team & Role

Our Information Technology (IT) team is Zuora's internal technology organization, responsible for creating systems and experiences that connect our teams, drive business alignment and build a stronger, more collaborative workplace. With a cloud-first approach, we empower our global ZEOs with increased productivity and self-service to enable company growth, scale, and flexibility while hardening our security and compliance posture. Within IT, the Compliance team ensures that the IT department adheres to regulatory standards (SOX) and internal policies. This role is crucial in helping the IT department maintain compliance and avoid legal or regulatory penalties.

This is a location specific position that requires you to be local to Chennai and come to the office regularly to be most effective. 

What you’ll do

  • Assist in compliance reviews and audits to ensure IT remains in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Support the implementation of IT compliance policies and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining compliance documentation, such as audit reports and compliance tracking
  • Participate in risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks
  • Help in developing and providing compliance training to IT staff
  • Monitor IT operations and report on compliance-related issues
  • Work closely with IT teams to understand processes and ensure compliance requirements are met

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field
  • Experience with SOX, Audits, IT General Controls, and/or IT Automated Controls
  • Basic knowledge of IT compliance standards and regulations, especially SOX
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to analyze and interpret data and regulations
  • Good verbal and written communication skills 
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment, including with other IT teams, internal auditors, and external auditors
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex compliance requirements.
  • Ability to identify and resolve compliance-related issues
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated with compliance standards and IT trends.
  • Certifications such as CISA, CPA
