About the role: 

The Project Manager, based in Johannesburg, will play a key role in managing IT projects aimed at transitioning customers to Nintex Automation Cloud. This role involves closely working with the team to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality. The Project Manager will focus on aligning projects with our company’s goals, efficiently using resources, and effectively communicating with stakeholders to meet and exceed project requirements. 

Your contribution will be:  

  • Develop comprehensive project plans in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. 
  • Lead project teams, providing direction and support to team members and ensuring resource availability and allocation. 
  • Manage the project timelines meticulously, ensuring milestones are met and projects are delivered on schedule. 
  • Oversee and manage the project budget, monitoring expenses to keep the project within financial targets. 
  • Ensure a high standard of quality for all project outcomes, maintaining alignment with stakeholder expectations and company standards. 
  • Facilitate clear, timely communication with project team members, stakeholders, and sponsors, ensuring issues are resolved and escalated, as necessary. 
  • Conduct risk management to minimize project risks, identifying potential problems and developing mitigation strategies. 
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency in project plans and reports. 
  • Contribute towards developing and enhancing project delivery process and methodology within the Cloud Transformation Team. 

Deliverables: 

Weekly 

  • Progress updates and status reports to stakeholders. 
  • Approval of timesheets for Upgrade Center technical specialists 
  • Adjusted project schedules to reflect changes in timeline or scope. 
  • Recaps of team meetings that outline current project status and action plans for the following week. 

Monthly 

  • Detailed financial reports comparing actual spend against the project budget. 
  • Updated risk registers, highlighting new risks and the status of mitigation efforts. 
  • Assessment and adjustment of resource allocation to optimize productivity. 

Quarterly 

  • In-depth project reviews with senior management to evaluate progress against key performance indicators and strategic objectives. 
  • Updated project plans for the upcoming quarter, integrating scope adjustments and any insights gained from previous phases. 
  • Collection and analysis of stakeholder feedback to ensure continuous alignment with project goals. 

To be successful, we think you need:  

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, engineering, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Agile Scrum Master are not mandatory but can be an advantage.  
  • Experience leading a cross functional team. 
  • 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in IT or a related industry. 
  • Proven track record of successfully managing IT projects, particularly in software or platform migration. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex project schedules. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
