PURE IN PRAGUE

We opened our R&D Second Home (besides the one in Silicon Valley) in Prague in January 2020 and since then we have experienced unbelievable growth. Our Engineers are solving complex engineering problems (from low-level system software to cloud computing) that help us innovate our cutting-edge products. Besides our world-class Software Engineering teams, we have many other talented colleagues working in Product Management, Sales, Finance, and HR to name a few. What’s more, we’ve developed these teams from talent across the globe.

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE…

You will be a part of a team that defines how Pure Storage products and services are  sold to our customers. You will work on a green-field development of a Java-based eCommerce platform, liaising closely with software engineers that develop Pure Storage products, as well as with the PaaS product group which defines requirements and platform roadmaps. In order to develop and deliver a software product that will help increase the Pure Storage revenue significantly, you will need to understand our end-to-end business processes as well as design and functionality of a range of our products. The eCommerce platform will not only integrate with our products and services that we provide to our customers, but also with our existing infrastructure and backend systems, such as SalesForce, SAP or ServiceNow.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE...

• Working on full lifecycle application development
• Designing, developing and maintaining customer-facing and internal-facing web applications in collaboration with multiple teams, predominantly in Java and JavaScript
• Experimenting with new technologies and architectural patterns in order to push the state-of-the-art and innovate new solutions
• Collaborating with peers and stake-holders to identify, analyze, verify and even create requirements and take solutions from initial design to production
• Bringing a focus on design, development, unit testing, code reviews, documentation, continuous integration and continuous deployment

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

• Experience designing, implementing and testing various product components
• 4+ years in any of the following programming languages, Java, Javascript, Python
• Proficiency and ability to work independently with Terraform
• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of AWS, networking infrastructure and SQL is a plus
• Experience with integration with backend systems such as SAP, Salesforce and ServiceNow is a plus
• Must be willing and able to work in an open office, international team environment

You will be based in Prague, Czech Republic. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
