As a Junior Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in reinforcing our Client Projects Team with knowledge and experience of QA. You will work in one of the flagship products of EQS in the investor relations area.

As a Junior Quality Engineer specializing in Functional Testing, your role is crucial in shaping our client projects to ensure its user-friendliness and accessibility. Your contribution will be vital to our continued success. By focusing on user interface performance and design consistency, nurturing team growth, prioritizing the product, and fostering knowledge sharing, you will drive innovation and guarantee a top-tier user experience. Your work will directly influence the look and feel of our product, making it more intuitive and enjoyable for our customers.    Here's how you will contribute to our team: 

Collaborative Code Sharing! While your primary focus will be on client projects, you will actively engage with other teams by learning about the products, helping them with the functional testing and helping your colleagues in the team. 

Ensuring Aesthetic Excellence! You will be accountable for maintaining the projects user-friendliness and design uniformity. Your role will involve formulating the test cases, accessibility testing, Regression Testing and giving a sign off for go-live to the development team.

Ensuring Aesthetic Excellence! You will play a crucial role in ensuring that there is zero defect leakage in the client projects areas and work along with the project managers to ensure the success of the project.

Growing Your Peers! Recognizing the importance of a solid and cohesive team, you will support your fellow team members in making decisions, providing guidance and examples, and engaging in pair programming when needed. Your focus on peer growth contributes to the overall success of the team. 

Engineering-Driven Product Focus! While functional Testing is a core aspect of your role, you will also actively participate in project kick-off meetings, retrospective meetings and project discussions regarding project development. Your valuable insights will help balance the quality of the product and addressing technical considerations. 

Sharing is Caring! You will be expected to organize and lead presentations on topics that you have mastered, such as automation testing tools or performance testing tools. By keeping yourself and your colleagues updated on new technologies and industry trends, you contribute to advancing the engineering department. 

THIS IS YOU

• 2+ years of experience in Functional Testing, with experience in writing Test cases, executing the test cases and reporting the bugs to the developers. 
• Experience in handling Jira for defect logging and test case management.
• Infer Test Scenarios from the user stories and develop the test cases from them.

• Experience and good understanding of modern web technology test technics.
• Experience in any of the testing tools, Cypress/Selenium/ WebDriverIO –cross browser, mobile testing.
• Experience in different types and different levels of testing.

• Experience in distinguishing between validation and verification.
• Experience in distinguishing the difference between priority and severity.
• A passion for ensuring high quality. Bonus points for breaking the system and logging the bugs with the dev team.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, a little bit exposure to Automation. A “what’s next” attitude and the zeal to learn new technology and improve your skills and knowledge.
• Expertise in developing the test cases. Finding the edge cases and ensuring that you test and verify the scenario.
• User-centric approach to functional testing. You prioritize user needs and preferences when testing, working closely with PM team to ensure that you stick with the timelines provided. Attention to the details when testing. 
• A “Best tool for the job” mentality. You are not a zealot and know that having a hammer does not make everything a nail. You are not afraid to try something new and know how to build consensus and knowledge in the team for new tech and concepts. 
• Excellent communication skills (in English). You can naturally work with people from different backgrounds, both technical and non-technical. You are comfortable defending your bugs and challenging others. People enjoy working and debating with you. 
• Working with a remote team is not new to you but just regular business.
