As a Junior Recipe Developer you will help bring new and exciting products to the market. The purpose of this role is to develop, create and innovate new meal concepts and flavors to bring to the Youfoodz menu. You will receive detailed briefs that will allow you to combine your creative flair with customer insights, operational feasibility and cost targets. 

You will…

• Create new, exciting and customer-driven recipes on a weekly basis which maintain product fit, operational complexity, cost and nutritional targets
• Improve existing menu items, to optimize customer experience using culinary expertise, customer feedback reviews and data-driven insights
• Work closely with the technical teams to ensure shelf life and food safety requirements are met across all developed items
• Be involved in the product development process end to end and ensure key tasks are complete (meal ideation & creation, sample creation, recipe and cost documentation, photography briefings)
• Maintain a high standard clean kitchen, meeting all health and safety requirements 

You have…

• 2+ years experience in a corporate Culinary related field (e.g. product developer, test kitchen, magazine, media, home economics).
• A diploma or degree in a related field.
• A vast knowledge and interest in food, with a strong understanding of local and broader Australian and/or New Zealand taste profiles, culinary trends, and preferences.
• A Good knowledge of Excel / Google Suite
