About the Business Technology Team:
The Business Technology (BT) team at Okta is crucial in transforming our business processes and driving operational efficiency through advanced technology. We are responsible for implementing and managing sophisticated solutions that support our global operations and strategic goals. Our Center of Excellence (COE) for Anaplan focuses on optimizing our planning and performance management capabilities, ensuring our decision-making is data-driven and precise.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Anaplan Developer to join our Business Technology team at Okta. This role requires extensive experience with Anaplan, deep knowledge of finance and FP&A processes, and expertise in Anaplan integration tools like Boomi and CloudWorks. The successful candidate will have strong experience in UX page design within Anaplan, management reporting, and proficiency with Anaplan’s Excel and Google Sheets add-ons. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex Anaplan solutions that drive business efficiency and effectiveness. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with finance teams, IT departments, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality Anaplan models and ensure seamless data integration. Knowledge of systems such as Workday, Salesforce, Snowflake, Netsuite, Coupa, and Revpro is highly desirable. Due to the critical nature of this role, you will need to work with a few hours of overlap with US Pacific time hours for business-critical activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finance and FP&A Expertise: Apply strong knowledge of finance and FP&A activities to ensure that Anaplan solutions align with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting requirements.
- Solution Architecture: Utilize your expertise in Anaplan to create scalable and efficient solutions, addressing intricate business processes and integration needs.
- Design and Development: Develop, configure, and maintain Anaplan models and solutions tailored to meet complex business requirements, focusing on finance and FP&A processes.
- Support and Maintenance: Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for Anaplan models, ensuring they remain accurate and effective in meeting business needs.
- UX Page Design: Create and enhance user interfaces within Anaplan to ensure an intuitive and efficient user experience.
- Integration Expertise: Implement and manage integrations between Anaplan and other systems using tools such as Boomi and CloudWorks to ensure seamless data flow and synchronization.
- Management Reporting: Design and implement management reporting solutions that provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Add-ons Proficiency: Utilize Anaplan’s Excel and Google Sheets add-ons effectively to enhance data manipulation and reporting capabilities.
- Collaboration: Partner with finance teams, business stakeholders, and IT departments to gather requirements, provide insights, and deliver solutions that add significant business value.
- Documentation and Training: Produce comprehensive documentation for Anaplan solutions and conduct training sessions to facilitate user adoption and effective use of new tools and processes.
- Best Practices: Stay updated with Anaplan advancements and industry trends, applying best practices to continuously enhance our Anaplan solutions and processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8-10 years of overall experience in IT and systems development, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Anaplan.
- Finance Expertise: Demonstrated strong knowledge and experience in finance and FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Integration Tools: Expertise in integrating Anaplan with other systems using tools such as Boomi and CloudWorks.
- UX Page Design: Proven experience in creating and optimizing user interfaces within Anaplan to enhance user experience.
- Management Reporting: Strong skills in designing and implementing management reporting solutions.
- Add-ons Proficiency: Experience with Anaplan’s Excel and Google Sheets add-ons.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Anaplan modeling, configuration, and implementation. Solid understanding of Anaplan’s architecture, data integration, and performance optimization.
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with systems such as Workday, Salesforce, Snowflake, Netsuite, Coupa, and Revpro is highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capability to analyze complex business requirements and design effective solutions.
- Certifications: Anaplan Certified Model Builder or Anaplan Solution Architect Certification is highly desirable.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Flexibility: Ability to work with a few hours of overlap with US Pacific time hours for business-critical activities.
