As a Lead Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the development of our Commerce Experience Platform, directly influencing customer integration methods.

What you would be working on

Together we shape our technical trajectory by developing future-focused APIs and integrations with leading e-commerce platforms and technology partners. Your primary focus is on technical mentorship and guidance within a team of skilled software engineers, driving technical excellence and innovation. You will report to and work closely with the Head of Platforms & Integrations Team, playing a crucial role in designing technical solutions and leading the overall quality of the team's delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical mentor, guiding team members in best practices, coding standards, and innovative solutions.
• Advocate for high-quality code and effective testing practices, ensuring the delivery of reliable and efficient software solutions.
• Actively participate in addressing technical debt and operational challenges.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the team's domain, including service interactions and data flows, and remain informed about adjacent domains.
• Oversee the team's testing approach, using quality metrics to identify gaps and recommend solutions in line with accepted testing frameworks.
• Drive monitoring efforts based on the organization's philosophy, using operational data to enhance service stability and performance.
• Architect services and systems with well-accepted design patterns for scalability and future development.

What we expect

• Proven technical leadership skills with a focus on mentorship and technical guidance.
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on software development experience, with a preference for Java expertise.
• Comprehensive understanding of software design patterns, best practices, and the modern technology landscape. 
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Proficient in MongoDB database management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
