Lead Product Designers at Agoda are responsible for:

Designing products for localization involves understanding and integrating cultural nuances, consumer preferences, and regulatory requirements unique to specific regions. Products should be tailored to meet the high standards of quality that consumers expect. Additionally, language localization is crucial, understanding local consumer behavior, expectations of Online Travel Agencies, payment methods, and marketing messaging can also influence product development. By aligning with these cultural and practical considerations, Agoda will effectively engage with the local markets and to enhance our product offering.

The day to day : 
  • Be at the forefront of major Design initiatives, partnering with your Product colleagues on visions and roadmaps 
  • Stakeholder management and ability to communicate with Design & Product colleagues for buy-in 
  • You can balance multiple priorities assessing cost vs benefits and market opportunities 
  • Understand the Online Travel market
    • Products 
    • Payment methods 
    • Pricing (strategy, coupons) 
    • Marketing partnerships (messaging of marketing) 
    • Support channels (email, phone, chat, applications) 
  • Set and refine the design quality bar, in partnership with design leadership, through our principles and design system.
  • Design with Accessibility in mind 
  • Build key partnerships with Product, Research, Engineering and Design Leadership 
  • Experience working with distributed teams in multiple time zones and an affinity for designing and facilitating asynchronous collaborative work
  • A believer in our mission of bringing everyone the inspiration to create a life they love
Design & Customer centricity attributes : 
  • Testing prototypes and hypotheses with users to collect feedback
  • Present your work to peers and leadership, async and in-person
  • Strong user interface and visual design skills
  • Proficiency with relevant tools, standards and frameworks (Figma, Design Tokens, WCAG etc.)
  • Past work experience showcasing the ability to define major workstreams, communicate a plan and success measurement framework, and then execute
  • A Research focus within the market with an understanding of the cultural nuances, enabling the ability to dig deeper into user insights to collate themes that lead to product decisions.
