The Service Development and Vendor Management (SD&VM) team was set up in Dec 2021 to develop origin services that enable shippers and suppliers to deliver their goods into Castlegate Forwarding (CGF) network with speed, competitive price and smooth experience. We officially launch origin trucking FTL services in June 2022 helping shippers move products from factories to Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Xiamen CFS sites. Launching FCL services in Q1 2023 moving products from factories to major ports in Asia. 

This job is to support the daily operation including handling pricing inquiry, onboarding customers, managing vendor communication, handling exception and escalation. Scale established FTL and FCL services.   

What You’ll Do

Operations:

  • Ensure quotations are timely and correctly sent to customers
  • Onboarding new customer
  • Create and manage customers’ communication channels 
  • Coordinate with customers to arrange proper truck carrier for delivery
  • Monitor truck carriers’ daily performance and guide carriers according to the standard operation process. Escalate to the line manager if there are any risks. 
  • Score truck carriers’ monthly KPI holds weekly scrum meetings with each carrier.
  • Maintain transportation information in the system and make sure Track & Trace information is updated timely and correctly from carriers.
  • Reconcile monthly accrual and payment for transportation charges  
  • Collect daily operation feedback to and set up a continuous improvement plan & managing carrier to implement 
  • Billing and payment management

Data Analyzing: 

  • Work out monthly transportation forecasts and collect transportation demand
  • Maintain master price list and cost evaluation, analyzing transportation expenses and control within budget. 

 

Required Experience/Skills

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Economics,Supply Chain, Logistics, or a directly related field experience in an analytical or consulting role. 

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities

  • Fluency in the English is required as well as excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office/Google and working with data
  • Working under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable managing multiple stakeholders
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
  • Analytical and process-oriented, comfortable learning new tools

 

Preferred or plus

  • Advanced knowledge preferred for Google BigQuery
  • Logistics-related majors is a plus
