The Role:

The Manager of Information Technology will be responsible for managing a team of two IT engineers, overseeing all day-to-day IT operations, and playing a critical role in shaping our IT strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation while ensuring the stability and security of our IT infrastructure.  This role reports to the VP of Information Systems within the Product organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and champion a global team of IT engineers.
    • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.
    • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • IT Strategy:
    • Help develop and execute an IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for technology improvements and innovation to drive operational efficiency.
    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend strategic IT investments.
  • Infrastructure Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the company's IT infrastructure, including SaaS services, servers, networks, and devices.
    • Collaborate with the InfoSec team to ensure the security and compliance of IT systems and data.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and prioritize IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions that support business needs.
  • Vendor and Budget Management:
    • Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and contracts related to IT services and equipment.
    • Maintain IT-related budget and spending within established guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar leadership role.
  • Proficient in JAMF, Microsoft Intune, Carbon Black (deployment and sensor maintenance), Okta (automations and integrations), Bash/zsh/Powershell Scripting, Zoom, Slack, Atlassian software, Enterprise level email service management (Proofpoint), Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Google Workspace
  • Deep practical experience in managing the infrastructure necessary to support a global team of employees, instructors, and students.
  • Deep practical experience in traditional infrastructure areas, including servers, network, planning and engineering, support, deployment, help desk, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Proven customer service skills with the ability to assist multiple users to resolve their issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Proven track record of successfully planning, executing, and delivering complex projects on time and within budget, demonstrating strong project management skills and the ability to drive teams towards project goals.

 

The anticipated annualized salary range for this position in the US market is $115,000 and $145,000. Salary will be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.  If hired as a regular full-time employee, this position will include a variable compensation plan which could be a bonus or a commission. US benefit offerings for full-time employment may include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans & reimbursement and retirement programs. Available paid leave may include paid time off, parental leave and holiday pay.
