About the PositionReports to: Director, Corporate AccountingLocation: Atlanta, GA (hybrid – 1 to 2 days in office per week)

Cardlytics is seeking an Manager, Corporate Accounting to join our Accounting team. You will be part of a fast-paced organization and have the opportunity to collaborate with the CFO, Controller and wider Accounting and Finance team on the direction of the accounting functions of the organization.

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee a team of senior accountants and accounts in completing all month-end close related journal entries and related reconciliations.
  • Manage the month-end close timeline and coordinate with accounting and finance leadership on the status and results of all relevant milestones.
  • Lead the month-end expense review to accounting and finance leadership on all significant drivers in expenses month over month.
  • Partner with external parties including our People team, Engineering team and Legal Team to better understand all relevant expenses, identify items to accrue and analyze expense trends
  • Assist the Director, Corporate Accounting in the evaluation and documentation of technical accounting issues.
  • Assist the AP Manager in maintaining relationships with Vendors, ensuring expenses are recorded appropriately and that we are paying vendors on the agreed upon timeline.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc financial reporting analyses for management.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors on all expense related queries
  • Assist with the oversight of Sarbanes-Oxley controls for our expense related processes.
  • Liaison with accounting system vendors and consultants as necessary
  • Support special projects as necessary and the wider finance organization.
  • Lead and develop high-performing team members by goal setting, establishing clear roles and responsibilities, and executing development plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience 
  • Prior experience managing a team required.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA preferred
  • Combination of public accounting and industry experience highly preferred
  • Prior experience with technical accounting topics is a plus, but not required (e.g., ASC 718 Stock Compensation, ASC 350 Intangibles – Goodwill and Other, ASC 360 Property, Plant and Equipment, and ASC 842 Leases)
  • Prior experience with NetSuite, Workiva, BlackLine, Coupa, Certent, and Workday a plus
