THE ROLE
We are seeking a results-oriented leader who can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution to serve as the architect and operator of our PMO Center of Excellence (CoE). Reporting into the Integrated Operations PMO, this role goes beyond traditional project coordination to build the PMO operating engine that enables consistent, scalable, and outcome-driven delivery across GTM & cross-functional transformation programs.
This leader will streamline and standardize PMO processes, enable Program Managers to operate more efficiently, and establish strong PMO Operations capabilities, including KPI tracking, portfolio metrics, governance, and reporting. The role integrates Program Management, Change Management, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) into a cohesive delivery model that turns digital and business transformation goals into measurable, people-adopted results.
You will ensure programs are not only delivered, but business-ready, adopted, and value-realized, while equipping teams with the tools, standards, and insights needed to succeed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Architect, implement, and continuously improve the PMO Center of Excellence operating model, standards, and governance.
- Streamline PMO and Program Manager processes to improve execution efficiency, consistency, and focus on outcomes.
- Establish and govern enterprise standards for Program Management, Change Management, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Build PMO Operations capabilities, including portfolio governance, delivery health, capacity management, and performance metrics.
- Track & report PMO KPIs and portfolio-level insights through executive dashboards and operational reporting.
- Ensure initiatives deliver validated, business-ready solutions by integrating UAT rigor and change readiness into delivery.
- Drive adoption of new systems, processes, and capabilities through effective change management and sponsor enablement.
- Reduce delivery and operational risk through standardized frameworks, tools, and governance models.
- Lead PM tool optimization (e.g., Asana) and implement AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities across project, program, and portfolio management practices.
- Lead scalable governance for business application selection, evaluation, and approval to drive standardization and tech stack rationalization.
- Provide people leadership, onboarding, coaching, and development to uplevel PMO capability and performance.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10+ years of experience in Business Operations, Business Transformation, Program Management, or Management Consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (MBA preferred).
- PMP certification required; recognized Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP) highly preferred.
- Proven experience across program management, change management, and UAT.
- Demonstrated ability to increase the likelihood of meeting project objectives through effective change and adoption practices.
- Strong portfolio management and governance experience.
- Expert proficiency in Asana or equivalent PM tools; strong interest in leveraging AI for PMO and operational excellence.
- Direct people management experience with a track record of coaching and performance uplift.
- Lean Portfolio Management or Lean-Agile experience is a plus.
- Strategic yet hands-on execution mindset
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder influence skills
- Ability to operate across ambiguity and drive clarity
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills
- Data-driven decision-making and attention to detail
- Self-starting problem solver with a pragmatic, can-do attitude
