YOUR MISSION

We are looking for a Master Data Process Owner in Barcelona to define and oversee the finance master data process and controls. 

You will also define global and local requirements to keep the proper balance between standardization and flexibility of the processes. 

Good communication and stakeholder management will be needed to coordinate and align with the different parties involved that consume and/or are part of the feeding master data flow.

THE JOURNEY

  • Responsible for designing the Master Data team scope across the Finance department.
  • Align Roles and responsibilities related to the different master data fields within Finance.
  • Define Master Data processes and controls.
  • Responsible for monitoring, measuring and improving the quality of finance master data.
  • Monitoring and analyzing master data quality metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Responsible for complying with local requirements  according to tax and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate and collaborate closely with the Process Owners as well as with the different departments internally.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial efficiency and controls.
  • Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference.
  • Adapt quickly to changes in company policy, regulations and legislation.
  • Provide sustainable solutions while flexibly supporting the company’s fast motion.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Bachelor's Degree from related departments (Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, etc...).
  • 3+ years of applicable work experience in Accounting or similar role for multinational companies.
  • Experience with process design/definition and standardization.
  • Knowledge in understanding and experience of (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheet.
  • Fluent in English with the ability to understand and communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with an excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A good organization & planning skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics/Navision/SAP is a plus.

Process & Leadership Skills:

  • Process Optimization and Automation: experience in process optimization and automation, focusing on harmonization and efficiency. You drive improvements by seeking new solutions and promoting a culture of continuous enhancement.
  • Leadership and Team Building: You have leadership experience, specially at Stakeholder management level. You excel at fostering collaborative and solution-oriented solutions and mindset within an organization, moving away from a "blocker" mentality.
