Media Director - Accountability

Critical Mass is seeking an experienced Media Director – Accountability, to join our growing team. As the Media Director you will create a consistent foundation for growth in strategy and client business. You will be responsible for all channels and opportunities that help deliver on a client’s goals.

Remote work is not an option for this role.

You Will:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients providing regularly updates and addressing any concerns
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that align with the client's goals
  • Continuously monitor and analyze campaign data to assess how well the media campaigns are performing identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Create reports and visualizations that communicate campaign results and insights effectively to clients and internal teams.
  • Oversee budget allocation for media campaigns to ensure that resources are used efficiently, and that the client is getting the best possible return on investment.
  • Collaborate with the client and the agency's internal teams to develop media strategies and plans that align with the client's business goals ensuring that the strategies are data-driven and designed to maximize ROI.
  • Assess the performance of various media channels and platforms to determine which ones are most effective for achieving the client's objectives
  • Ensure that media campaigns follow industry regulations, client guidelines, and best practices in advertising
  • Stay informed about the latest advertising technologies and tools that can improve campaign performance and accountability
  • Oversee and guide the performance of the media planning and buying teams, providing direction, support, and mentoring
  • Work closely with data analysts and data science teams to extract meaningful insights from campaign data and leverage data-driven decision-making
  • Develop forecasts and projections for campaign performance, budgets, and expected results to provide clients with realistic expectations
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of media campaigns, assess what worked and what didn't, and gather insights for future campaigns

You Have:

  • 7-10 years’ experience in media buying/executing self-certification and hands on experience in key platforms:  Google, Meta, Tik Tok, DCM, Strat, etc.
  • 5+ years of team management experience and accountability
  • Strong mathematic and analytical skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail
  • Expertise of media consumptions habits across YouTube, CTV, OLV, Digital Audio, Digital Display, and Social
  • Expertise in the principles of marketing and advertising, as well as expertise of media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements
  • Technical expertise with DSP (DV360, TTD, etc) Prisma, DV, IAS, DCM, and Microsoft Suite, and training others how to use them
  • Detail oriented, have exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and are comfortable presenting to audiences
  • A collaborative and forward-thinking mindset
  • Experience in automotive a plus

We continually review ranges to address skills, experience and markets. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a number of factors that include, but aren’t limited to, a candidate’s experience and skills relative to the scope and responsibilities of the position. For current CM employees, tenure will also be a consideration.Salary Range$150,000—$170,000 USD
