Role: Motion Graphics Designer

Location: London, England, United Kingdom

 

About the role:

Working in close partnership with our client, you will form part of the team responsible for impactful and engaging design solutions across a mix of channels. You’ll have a great track record of delivering high value craft and be keen to challenge the work. Applying your own creative initiative and motion skillsets, you’ll be constantly pushing creative boundaries to deliver best in class creative to inspire and engage the client’s audience. 

What you will be doing:
  • Creating best in class animated assets for social and various online platforms, bringing to life and adding value to project creative.
  • Deliver on briefs from concept to completion via working collaboratively across teams on ideation, creation and implementation.
  • Producing storyboards and researching solutions
  • Staying on track with emerging digital trends and engaging with the wider digital creative community.
  • The ability to take complete ownership of projects, including taking brief, presenting initial designs to client (where required) and managing the project until delivery.
  • A strong understanding of conceptualisation, graphic design, typography and motion/editing video content.
  • Demonstrate strong design thinking for the web, digital, ecommerce, social advertising.
  • Adapt and define the look and feel for a variety of design projects whilst implementing existing brand guidelines.
  • Handling multiple projects simultaneously and thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Managing workloads within agreed timescales
  • Monitoring proactively quality, accuracy and consistency
What you need to be great in this role:
  • Deep affinity with impactful motion graphics, typography, communication hierarchy, contemporary trends and idea generation
  • Familiarity with a range of content formats e.g. animated social cards, GIFs, audiograms, videograms, stories, pre-rolls etc.
  • Expertise in social media content best practices
  • Ability to collaborate well with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent digital and motion design skills, knowledge and a portfolio that demonstrates this
  • Awareness of emerging digital design trends, especially video and motion.
  • Understanding of typography, layout, colour and grid structures.
  • Skills to work within and develop a complex brand identity
  • A working knowledge of interactive/ digital design, social media asset creation and video.
  • The aptitude to learn new software and programmes efficiently and effectively.
  • Good knowledge of digital processes to deliver quality solutions, confident and articulate, with the ability to voice and share ideas and opinions both internally and with client.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite: After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere. Bonus skills: Indesign, Cinema 4D and Figma.
  • Proactive, solutions-focus mindset with sharp brief comprehension
  • A keen eye for detail
  • 4+ years’ experience as an independent motion graphics designer working in a marketing/design/advertising role
  • Understanding of narrative storytelling
