Network Engineer

Job Summary
The Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting, managing, designing, implementing StepStone network devices and cloud network infrastructure across multiple platforms including Azure, AWS, Google, Zscaler, Aruba Central. Given the constantly evolving environment and various technology platforms, the candidate must be self-sufficient, capable of learning new technology and communicating effectively with colleagues and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, implement and support switches, routers, SD WAN and other network appliances.
- Troubleshoot network LAN/WAN/Wireless performance and connectivity issues.
- Prepare network diagrams and supporting documentation.
- Manage and respond to network related ticket queue.
- Work with other senior engineers and departments to define technical requirements for individualized projects.
- Design, deploy, scalable, and secure network architectures in a hybrid environment ensuring seamless integration and communication across different cloud platforms and on-premises resources.
- Manage and support the configuration of Zscaler zero trust architecture solutions.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network segmentation and routing.
- Strong Troubleshooting skills of complex issues that involve multiple systems including SD WAN, remote access and multiple cloud technologies.
- Experience with Zscaler and zero trust technologies and implementation.
- Experience with firewall rules.
- Experience with URL filtering rules.
- Experience managing Aruba central and network equipment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of technical network experience.
- 5+ years of technical SD-WAN experience.
- 3+ years of technical zero trust technology experience.
- 3+ years of cloud networking experience.
- Able to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to manage and work directly with service providers.
- 4 year college preferred.
Salary Range - $90,000 - $125,000
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
The benefits package includes 15 days of paid vacation, 40 hours of sick leave, and 11 days of paid holidays. Eligible for health care (single and family). 401(k) plan with 3% safe harbor contribution is available. Eligible to receive annual discretionary incentive compensation, based on both individual and overall company performance, among other considerations.
