Get to Know our Team: The Network Operations Center is known as NOC in Agoda, and we’re the caretakers of all technology products within the company. From applications to infrastructure, our duty is to guarantee the experience of Agoda’s customers and partners is always optimal and trouble-free. Our department never sleeps, working 24/7 to keep Agoda products functional and usable. The NOC team is an invaluable support to the company, ensuring travelers are allowed the full Agoda experience. Beyond maximizing customer experience uptime, we initiate ideas and experiments that mature NOC to the next level and results in state-of-the-art operation and incident management tools. The Opportunity:As a NOC Software Engineering you will be responsible for building and managing improving scalability, stability, accuracy, speed and efficiency of our operation systems. Automate manual operational processes and present back on time savings gained through modernization of operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Passion for solving real business problems
- Design, build, test and deploy new tools for our operations systems while keeping to the highest standards of testing and code quality
- Translate internal briefs into analytical reports
- Always look for opportunities to optimize and automate daily workflow
- See beyond the current norm of operation, then design and implement solutions in stages
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Engineering/related field
- 4+ years in a technical role supporting IT products
- Ability to multitask and pivot when necessary in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience with the whole SDLC: Requirement, Design, Code, Test, Deploy
- Deep understanding of computer networks
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g. Ruby, JavaScript/NodeJS, Python)
- Understanding of VMs, docker/rkt containers and their applications
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing monitoring and alerting systems
- Experience in Data platforms like SQL or Hadoop
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Analytical problem-solving capabilities & experience
Bonuses:
- Experienced in supporting Kubernetes clusters
- CI: TeamCity
- Gradle build system, Android build pipeline and Google Play publishing
- XCode, iOS build pipeline and AppStore publishing
- Experience with configuration management: Puppet/Chef/Ansible
