The role

As Operational Buyer at HelloFresh you are a member of the Supply Chain Operations Team, responsible for one or more categories of goods in your market, owning ordering, stock and fulfillment KPIs such as Errors per box and Waste. You’ll develop our supply strategy and planning, ensuring ingredients availability at the optimum supply chain setup and respond to critical incidents affecting our supply chain. 

This role requires a high level of collaboration with multiple stakeholders, from our internal strategic procurement, FSQA, culinary and production teams to external Suppliers across the Nordics.

What you’ll do
  • Manage supply planning for Fresh/Short Shelf-Life categories, ensuring that ingredients are available on-time and in-full from our suppliers
  • Own market supply strategy and target inventory level for your categories
  • Understand latest forecast updates, with key implications for our ingredients materials availability.
  • Process and send purchase orders and forecasts to suppliers 
  • Plan Delivery Schedules, adjust Delivery Settings across all Suppliers to our Warehouse.
  • Track inbound deliveries and respond to on time, in full and in quality incidents detected at inbounding or over the course of production within short deadlines by working closely with our warehouse teams and suppliers to ensure systematic issue resolution.
  • Optimize our inventory through systematic approach and structural interventions
  • Proactively eliminate supply risks, root cause error and waste issues and work on mitigation plans
  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis of extensive datasets to formulate proactive solutions aimed at optimizing our workflows and enhancing supplier reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with our international strategic team to refine and optimize our market supply strategy.

Our operations run seven days per week - you will take part in an on-call weekend rotation to support in case of emergencies. You should only expect to be on-call 1 weekend approx. every five weeks and you will get time off on another day in return.

What you’ll bring
  • 2+ years of experience in one of the areas supply chain, operations, or procurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to strive in a fast paced operations environment, comfortable working with short deadlines solving operational issues effectively. 
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate, root cause and action plan inefficiencies in processes and systems by using large set of data
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently proactively and structured, not afraid to deep dive issues as they arise with a bias for action. 
  • Strong and proven experience in multiple stakeholders management, with competing priorities
  • The ability to craft long-term internal and external business relationships, manage change and provide strategic leadership is essential
  • Good analytical and data analysis skills, problem solving techniques and project management.
  • Capable to thrive in flexible team structure around the world with a healthy degree of uncertainty
  • Language: fluent English, other Nordic languages considered a plus (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish)
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office programs particularly Excel  & G-Suite
