Role Description:

Symphony is looking for a paralegal to join our established and well-respected legal team. This position will primarily focus on customer-facing matters and legal operations, providing key support for sales and commercial activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working in-house collaborating closely with business teams on contract management including preparation and reviews, exceptions and approvals checks, signature processes, organisation and legal operations and processes. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contract management- includes triaging incoming requests for contracts such as order forms, NDAs, and MSAs; handling first-level reviews and negotiations; escalating and tracking non-standard terms;  filing of templates and other documents.
  •  Supporting day-to-day requests and queries from customers and prospects, including responding to informational requests as part of tender documents (RFIs, RFPs, etc), checking policies and procedures
  •  Legal file and database management- includes organising and managing department files and templates; compiling response libraries and other knowledge databases to improve team operations and efficiencies,  helping to maintain up-to-date versions of key documents.
  •  Assisting the Deputy General Counsel and legal team from time to time on other ad hoc project work or other tasks.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of two years of corporate experience in Commercial, Corporate, Technology, Capital Markets, Banking and Finance or M&A matters is desired
  • Available to work overtime, as required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive details
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with personnel and to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and G Suite,
  • Experience working in-house
  • Experience with international matters or working across multiple jurisdictions
