About the Role:

The Taskrabbit legal team is focused on minimizing risk while getting to yes, prioritizing growth, and finding ways to partner efficiently as we globally scale the company.  We are creative problem solvers who prioritize a sense of humor and the ability to get our work done. We are looking for an ambitious paralegal who is looking for a varied role that will offer a broad range of experience. You must have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and work proactively with various teams across the organization. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and work on cutting-edge issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.

  • Proactively support a team of global attorneys (US and EU based) and other departments on all day-to-day legal matters.
  • General legal and administration support (including, but not limited to, mailings and filings, intake of legal mail and business queries, signatory management and any ad hoc administrative requests or queries).
  • Oversee the creation, execution, and management of contracts; maintain contract records; ensure they are executed as necessary; and manage legal technology solutions.
  • Monitor and manage inquiries from the business to the legal team, and ensure timely responses by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Draft, process, and/or review basic legal and other documents.
  • Self-manage and prioritize work tasks and projects and maintain company tools, resources, databases, and processes in order to improve efficiency.
  • Manage the intake and response process, with attorney support, for Government and law enforcement inquiries.
  • Provide attorneys with litigation support (including, but not limited to, tracking a variety of pre-litigation and litigation matters, responding to subpoenas and other legal processes, and assisting with discovery).
  • Act as point of contact for all company secretarial matters, and liaise with and manage external company secretarial support across multiple jurisdictions.
  • This is a small legal team so you will have ample opportunity (and be expected to) pitch in and work on matters outside of your core responsibilities, including various other legal and non-legal matters.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience as a paralegal or contracts manager at law firms and/or in-house.
  • Solid stakeholder management and engagement abilities with excellent written, presentation and communication skills - you work effectively in cross-functional teams and are open-minded, inclusive, and flexible.
  • You embrace ambiguity, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are comfortable working flexibly under pressure or with tight deadlines.
  • You have excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, with effective resolution of conflicting priorities.
  • You are accustomed to working in an environment requiring attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • You can work autonomously where required, meet deadlines and handle queries from inside and outside the company.
  • Last but definitely not least, you have a great sense of humor.
  • Open and willing to travel to team and stakeholder offsites at least 2-3 times per year.
