We’re looking for a highly motivated Partner Manager with a strong background developing existing partnerships with Hyperscale Cloud Partners, such as Tencent and Alibaba.  The Partner Manager’s responsibility is to develop and drive the execution of revenue-focussed programs and initiatives across the China region. 

Key to the success in the position is effective collaboration with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, including sales, alliances, marketing, legal, and operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Sales Management. Working with internal and external Field Sales Teams to take joint sales plays, programs and industry solutions to specific market segments for execution.
  • Market Development. Work with the specified Cloud Partners' Business Development, Marketing, and Solution Architects, to craft and promote mutually-beneficial business models, solution offerings and messaging that drive new opportunities in the market.
  • Business Cadence. Execute, manage and deliver China pipeline and revenue growth cadence tied to the specified Cloud Partners’ strategies and initiatives
  • Educate. Ensure Partners’ staff understand Elastic’s value proposition and how our technology fits into their overall GTM strategy and portfolio.

 

Capabilities and Experience

 

  • Energetic, analytical, self-directed, and passionate business development and channel professional
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Enterprise Software / SaaS sales and BD roles; 2 years’ partner management experience. Preferred experience in data, search or security solution markets
  • Experience building channel networks from the ground up, including designing channel programs and negotiating channel agreements 
  • Very strong Sales Operations productivity
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrated success growing business results with Partners through increased lead growth, bookings growth and sourced business
  • Willing to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree, Masters or MBA is a plus!
