We are looking for a dynamic and experienced People Technology Functional Manager (Workday PATTB) to join our HelloFresh People Team at either our New York City or Berlin Headquarters. In this role, you will lead a small team of People Technology Functional Specialists, ensuring the successful operation and enhancement of our People Technologies, specifically focusing on the Workday Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Benefits modules.
As a People Technology leader, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation, continuous improvements, and system enhancements within these core Workday modules. Your role will be essential in driving efficiencies within the People Function while ensuring that the People Technology team operates at its highest potential. You will use your deep technical expertise and leadership skills to collaborate with key stakeholders to build and enhance Workday solutions that improve our employee experience and optimize our HR processes globally.
In addition to your hands-on functional expertise, you will be expected to lead key strategic projects, such as module implementations, updates, and rollouts across global markets, while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence. You will...- Lead and manage a small team of People Technology professionals, providing mentorship and coaching on Workday functional topics, while ensuring the team is delivering high-quality solutions.
- Be a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Workday Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Benefits modules, ensuring they meet the needs of the People function.
- Design, build, test, and deploy end-to-end Workday functional solutions, with a focus on optimizing processes in Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Benefits.
- Actively identify opportunities to use Workday as a tool to drive transformation and process improvements across the People function.
- Lead and drive key functional workstreams within large, strategic projects, such as country rollouts, system integrations, and new module implementations.
- Manage and resolve complex production issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and business continuity.
- Optimize the Workday reporting and analytics capabilities to deliver actionable insights and data-driven decision-making to HR and business leaders.
- Maintain a robust security model in Workday to ensure data integrity and access control align with business and People function requirements.Oversee the system audit process, ensuring data quality and identifying and addressing trends in data errors.
- Develop and maintain user support materials (e.g., training manuals, videos) and deliver training to various stakeholders across the business.

You have...
- At least 1-3 years of management experience in leading a People Technology or Workday functional team, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring team members.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, testing, and deploying Workday functional solutions, specifically in Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Benefits.Strong expertise in Workday's Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Benefits modules, with a comprehensive understanding of the configuration and functionality within these areas.
- In-depth knowledge of the HR function, including HR processes, structures, roles, and responsibilities, as well as a solid understanding of HR data structures in Workday (Staffing, Worker Data, Organizations, Business Processes, Security, Reporting & Analytics).
- A strategic mindset with the ability to drive Workday transformation initiatives that improve business processes and enhance the employee experience.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a focus on driving team performance, professional development, and cross-functional collaboration.
- A proven consulting background, with the ability to ask the right questions, challenge requirements, and find the best solutions.Extensive experience with Workday data conversion, EIBs, and integrations, as well as system maintenance and enhancement strategies.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, comfortable with complex data analysis and managing large datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, HR Management, or a related field.Experience working with Agile/SCRUM methodologies would be an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
