The Trust Planning team drives strategic planning and is responsible for delivering a Product and Operations roadmap that is effectively resourced for the highest priority initiatives. As a Planning Systems and Risk Operations Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and optimizing tooling and systems related to roadmap planning and other strategic planning areas. Additionally, you will lead a small team dedicated to investigating and gathering data on risk incidents, identifying potential remediation opportunities, and recommending appropriate actions to improve defenses on Airbnb.
A Typical Day:
- Develop and implement robust systems and tools for effective roadmap planning and strategic initiatives
- Manage and lead a team of subject matter experts, ensuring they are equipped to investigate and gather data related to risk incidents efficiently
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align planning systems with organizational goals and objectives
- Identify areas for improvement in planning processes and systems, implementing enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Lead the risk operations function for the Trust Rapid Response (TRR) team, ensuring the team is proactively identifying and addressing potential risks that come through TRR
- Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets, identify patterns, and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Effectively communicate planning strategies, system updates, and risk incident findings to relevant stakeholders
Your Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, Risk Management) or equivalent; MBA preferred
- 8-10+ years of proven experience in Planning, Systems Tooling, or Consulting roles preferred
- Proven track record of planning, creating and owning a product portfolio roadmap using sophisticated project management tooling (e.g., Airtable, Asana, Jira)
- Experience leading a team of subject matter experts
- Strong proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.), including formulas for automation
- Experience working in a highly cross-functional environment where communication with multiple groups and stakeholders is imperative
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data sets
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify patterns and trends in incident data
Your Location:
This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
Pay Range$125,000—$153,500 USD
