Working within OVO’s Energy function, this role sits within the Renewable Energy Team.  We’re leading the energy transition, and the charge to bring more renewable energy to our customers. This role sits within a team of experts on domestic renewable energy - who are leading OVO’s work to develop market leading propositions and tariffs for customers with renewable generation technology like solar panels at home.

This role in a nutshell:

You’ll work with a team of Originators delivering our renewable growth strategy. You’ll be  developing relationships with brokers, renewable developers and generators to build OVO’s PPA pipeline, negotiating and onboarding contracts and account handling key relationships.

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Developing OVOs PPA sales channels, including maintaining relationships with brokers and working with internal stakeholders to develop our direct PPA sales capability
  • Building and running OVOs PPA pipeline, progressing PPAs from origination to execution, to deliver target PPA growth
  • Working with PR and Communications teams to improve OVO’s presence in the PPA market
  • Providing first class account management to OVO’s PPA generators
  • Working with internal stakeholders to manage the operational processes associated with the PPA portfolio 
  • Researching and analysing the PPA market and working with the Trading and Commercial functions to develop new products and services for PPA generators
  • Providing support to the wider Renewable Energy Trading team, including with the procurement of green certificates, as required

You’ll be a successful PPA Originator at OVO if you…

  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in an Origination or Business Development role in the Renewable Energy sector
  • Have an understanding of PPA valuation including embedded benefits and wholesale risks
  • Have experience of the operational processes involved in managing PPA contracts
  • Have a strong commercial mindset with a track record of delivering value adding deals
  • Have proven track record of managing the full PPA acquisition process including Origination, Due Diligence, Negotiation, Execution and Onboarding
  • Have first class customer service and account management skills, with the ability to work with a wide variety of external stakeholders
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Are flexible and willing to contribute across a range of projects.
  • Have an aim to learn and develop new skills; you will be a creative thinker who thrives off direct responsibility

We’ll pay you between £40,000 and £50,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
