Okta has an opening for a Workday Principal Product Analyst within our Business Technology Organization. Working directly with the Director of People Technology, you will be a key member of the Workday Delivery team focused on delivering an exceptional end-user experience. You will also work across departments and geographies, interacting with our partners in People, IT, Engineering, Finance, and International locations. Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Guides the strategic direction for major projects or initiatives, aligning them with the overall business strategy and objectives.
- Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies or methodologies for enhanced business outcomes.
- Delivering substantial business impact through effective solutions and understanding how these solutions contribute to company goals are key responsibilities.
- Interact with multiple stakeholder groups to gather requirements and present analysis with a focus on prioritizing requirements, analysing data, reports, and current processes.
- Develop user feedback methods to inform product roadmaps, and prioritize features to build. Actively engage and maintain/update roadmaps for stakeholder groups and present roadmaps as well. Be instrumental in setting the product vision, while also tracking deliverables with metrics throughout the quarter.
- Champion change by promoting a culture of agility, flexibility and speed within the team.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate analysts, supporting their skill development and achievement of objectives. Encourages a growth mindset across the team, helping members learn from failures and adapt their approach
- Lead cross-functional collaboration, often serving as a liaison between teams and stakeholders.
- Build partnerships to ensure solutions are aligned with broader business objectives and influence others to drive results.
- Excellent communication skills, both in formal and informal settings with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences, ensuring alignment and understanding. Ability to resolve conflicts and facilitate productive discussions to keep projects on track.
- Lead system updates, Organize testing, and manage the roll-out of new features to maximize Workday’s capabilities
- Design scalable and maintainable solutions that avoid tech debt and have security at the heart of the solution
- 10+ years of Workday HCM hands on experience with focus on Workday Payroll
- Be an expert in Workday modules, including advanced proficiency in: Security Administration, Business Process Configuration, HCM, Payroll, Compensation, Advance Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent, Performance, Benefits and Custom Reports
- Exposure to LMS applications such as Cornerstone OnDemand; Recruiting application such as Greenhouse or Workday Recruiting
- Be an expert in accounting principles, and experience using delivered and custom integrations between Workday payroll and ERP systems(Netsuite/SAP/Oracle ERP).
- Ability and desire to learn about and expand your expertise to encompass new areas of Workday and people technology related systems
- Should have successfully led and managed benefits open enrollments
- Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams
- Strong project management skills to oversee complex projects/programs
- Strong analytical, multitasking and interpersonal skills required
- Exceptional people skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both a technical audience and business users
- Strong understanding of Workday integration technologies (EIBs, Core Connectors and RaaS (Report as a service)) with boundary applications
- Strong understanding of Workday configuration, business processes, security, EIBs, reporting, and calculated fields.
- Workday Certifications are preferred
- Workday Studio and basic understanding of APIs
- Workday Expenses
- Integrations with ADP
- Any ATS applications
- Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Servicenow, and other business applications integrating to Workday

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $170,000—$254,000 USDBelow is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$151,000—$227,000 USDWhat you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employee!
