About the job

This position is needed to spearhead advanced technical SEO strategies, ensuring a profound impact on our digital presence by enhancing website visibility, optimizing structured data with precision, and driving innovation in semantic search techniques. This role will play a pivotal role in elevating our online performance, leading cross-functional teams to navigate complex technical challenges, and ultimately positioning our brand at the forefront of search engine rankings. The ideal candidate will not only fortify our current SEO practices but also lay the foundation for continuous improvement, fostering a sustainable and competitive online presence.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to enhance website visibility and ranking on search engines, inclusive of the creation and optimization of JSON-LS structured data for enhanced search engine results features.
  • Develop roadmaps and recommendations targeted at improving SEO and Marketing performance
  • Conduct thorough technical SEO audits, identifying and resolving issues related to crawlability, indexing, and site architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into website development and content creation processes.
  • Monitor and analyze website performance metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to improve organic search performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and search engine algorithm updates to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Optimize on-page elements, including metadata, headings, and content, to improve keyword relevance and user experience.
  • Lead initiatives for link-building strategies and backlink analysis to enhance domain authority.
  • Implement and manage SEO tools for tracking, analysis, and performance monitoring.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience8-10 years as a Technical SEO Manager or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency in using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Ahref and Conductor etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website architecture.
  • Experience working on enterprise-level sites, including multilingual sites.
  • Ability to recognize common technical issues and explain their solutions coherently in plain speak, ensuring that teammates understand the recommendations.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of schema markup and structured data implementation.
  • Proven success in improving organic search rankings for high-traffic websites.
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and their impact on SEO.

Location 

This role will be remote but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.

Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $135,920 - $169,900.

  • Based in New York, Washington State or California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area): $143,920 - $179,900.

  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
