About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to spearhead the development and management of our multi-platform Lookout client, covering Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android. This role demands a seasoned professional with a robust background in product management, deep technical knowledge in VPN technologies and protocols, and expertise in network security across diverse operating systems.

Please note that a strong background in network security is necessary in this role. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product strategy and roadmap for the Lookout Client Platform across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS).
  • Drive the development of client applications, ensuring they meet the high standards of functionality, security, and user experience.
  • Utilize expertise in network security concepts, including SSE (Security Service Edge), VPN, ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access), and related technologies, to enhance product offerings.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deepen expertise in OS-specific networking and security features, including Windows drivers, macOS VPN network profiles, and mobile platform configurations.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends in VPN technology and network security.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, translating them into innovative product features.
  • Ensure the product aligns with the latest network security concepts and practices.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Oversee product compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of successfully managing and launching enterprise SaaS or cybersecurity products.
  • Solid understanding of network security concepts, including SSE, VPN, ZTNA, and other related technologies.
  • Strong technical background with in-depth knowledge of VPN technologies, network security concepts, and operating system specifics (Windows and Mac). Understanding of VPN technologies like IPSec, SSL/TLS, OpenVPN, WireGuard, etc.
  • Familiarity with Windows networking, Windows Filtering Platform (WFP), macOS Network Extension Framework, and related APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of user interface and experience design principles for both desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical background or experience in software development, particularly in networking or security.
  • Experience in managing products with a global footprint and diverse user base.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.

The Canadian base salary range for this full-time position is available below. We offer base + bonus + equity + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canadian locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
