Privacy Intern

As part of the Red Ventures privacy internship, you’ll find unparalleled opportunities to gain exposure in an active privacy program to the role and learn what it’s like to work at RV over the 6 week summer internship period with the goal of gaining experience on a variety of privacy-related projects.
The Red Ventures Privacy Internship is a 6 week, full-time summer 2024 internship from mid May to the end of until June for law school students or any students interested in data privacy, cybersecurity, or technology. You must be enrolled in a nationally accredited college/university. The position is based in Fort Mill, SC. This position will work directly with the Red Ventures privacy team that supports the entire Red Venture portfolio of brands providing guidance to our internal teams on privacy laws globally, including U.S. state and federal privacy laws and the EU’s GDPR, among others.
Interns will also get the chance to learn from our top mentors, get to know the Charlotte area and the RV culture through engagement events and social impact opportunities.
What You'll Do:
As an intern, you’ll be integrated into a dynamic global privacy team where you’ll contribute to challenging and impactful projects. Your manager, team, and our incredible employee community will strive to be superhosts to you during the summer. We provide the support, mentorship, fun, and real world experience needed to accelerate your learning and make a real impact on our business.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across our brands including
- Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs),
- reviews of privacy controls,
- research on existing and emerging US state laws
You will be expected to collaborate with multiple team members and communicate with the privacy team on project updates.
What We're Looking For:
Applicants should have:
- Demonstrated interest in data privacy, technology, cybersecurity, emerging technology, and Internet law and policy;
- Basic understanding of the ad tech industry is helpful, but not required
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment;
- Proficient with Word/Google Docs, Excel/Sheets, PPT, Slack and other office technology;
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to distill information from multiple sources;
- Comfortable reaching out and initiating conversations with others;
- Interpersonal qualities that show support for colleagues, peers, and a broader community;
Compensation
- Cash Compensation: $6,000 in total
