As our Procurement & Negotiations Intern, you will learn how to effectively negotiate everything in life, understand how the different parts of the SumUp operating system work smoothly together, adapt first principles thinking in decision making throughout the company and thereby be a part of shaping the SumUps future. There will be no such thing as a typical day as you will deal with various exciting tasks stretching from Finance, Product to Emotional Intelligence. This role can offer you a diverse learning experience with unlimited growth potential. 

What you’ll do:

  • Join our Global Head of Procurement in Negotiations of our biggest contracts and take ownership of your own Negotiations over time.
  • Build and analyze financially-driven business cases for buying decisions.
  • Support cross-functional projects to enable more efficient and automated internal processes.
  • Manage plenty of internal stakeholders and gain insights into their domains of expertise.
  • Contribute to optimizing and automating budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Build relationships and lead the communication with partners and vendors.
  • Manage our internal Procurement platform.

You’ll be great for this role if:

  • You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • You are an excellent communicator to external partners as well as members of the organization.
  • You have a degree in Business, Economics or another business discipline.
  • You have at least one prior experience in Procurement, Finance or another relevant entrepreneurial role in a fast-paced environment such as venture capital, startups or equivalent
  • You combine great work ethics with a genuine curiosity for the topic and are eager to learn
  • You truly enjoy working collaboratively and deal with many stakeholders and departments at the same time.
  • Experience with Procure2Pay, CLM or PO tools/infrastructure is a big plus.
  • You have advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.
  • You have a good ability to cope with stress and remain calm when the stakes are high.
