S'more about the team
Reporting to the Director of Product (Factor Canada), you will be the driving force behind the delivery and market launch of new physical product lines and transformations, bridging the gap between product vision and operational reality. You will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, ranging from launching new menu assortments to exciting packaging innovations. This role requires a unique blend of strategic project management, tactical problem solving, and execution. You are responsible for managing key stakeholders, solving operational changes to enable the launch of new physical products,, and ensuring a robust and rapid stage gate process to ensure we deliver on our customer’s needs.
Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for
- End-to-End Project Execution: Lead the cross-functional delivery of physical product initiatives. Own the project lifecycle from initial scoping, stage gate process, through to operational-readiness and post-launch review.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: You are obsessed with the details that impact the end user. You understand our product specifications translate into customer experience, and ensure product development decisions are made with this in mind.
- Stakeholder Management & Influencing: Proactively identify and align stakeholders across Culinary, FSQA, Procurement, Production, and Product Marketing. Facilitate working groups and steering meetings to secure buy-in and resource commitment, ensuring everyone is moving toward the same launch date.
- Strategic Decision Support: Outline options and analyze data from pilot runs, cost comparisons, and transit tests to provide clear "go/no-go" recommendations to senior leadership. Distill complex technical problems into simple summaries to drive executive alignment.
- Operational Problem Solving: Act as the primary troubleshooter when projects hit a wall. Whether it’s a bento dimension issue impacting box fit or a regulatory hurdle with a new vendor, you apply a methodical approach to find and execute a solution.
- Entrepreneurial Approach: Take a rapid testing approach to learn and pivot quickly.
- Project Governance & Documentation: Establish and maintain the "source of truth" for every project. This includes developing project charters, detailed Gantt charts, RACI matrices, and weekly status reports to provide visibility into risks and milestones.
- Change Management: Lead the transition of products from "test kitchen" to "full-scale production." Perform impact assessments on site labor and throughput, ensuring that operational changes (like new casing instructions or packaging equipment) are seamlessly integrated.
- Tactical Testing & Validation: coordinate testing to ensure products meet required specifications.
- Hands-on Support: Step in to execute tactical items when needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Sound a-peeling? Here's what we're looking for
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in Product Development, Project Management, or Operations, ideally within a food manufacturing, D2C subscription, or FMCG environment.
- Methodical Problem Solver: You have a proven ability to break down complex operational issues into root causes and actionable steps. You don’t just flag problems; you bring data-driven recommendations.
- Physical Product Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing the physical product launches, including packaging transitions, transit testing, or manufacturing scale-ups.
- Quick Learner & Agile: You thrive in "unstructured" environments. You can quickly get up to speed on new technical areas, whether it’s CFIA meat licensing, pulp fiber structural integrity, or production line pick-to-light systems.
- Program & Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes workstreams simultaneously using governance tools like RACI matrices and project charters.
- Collaborative Team Player: You prioritize the team’s goals and reputation. You are a high-ego worker with a low-ego attitude, willing to do whatever is needed to get the project across the finish line.
- Communication & Presentation: Excellent skills in managing meetings and presenting to diverse audiences. You can speak "operations" on the production floor and "strategy" in the boardroom.
- Physical Product Fluency: Demonstrated experience with the "physical" side of product delivery (e.g., packaging transitions, shelf-life validation, or supply chain logistics).
- Communication & Influence: Outstanding communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. You must be able to shift perspective to secure genuine buy-in for strategic initiatives across diverse functions and international teams.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A strong entrepreneurial streak and a desire to excel in a high-growth, unstructured, and fast-paced environment. You are passionate about creating the future and shaping the ready-to-heat category in Canada.

- Travel: A willingness to travel.
