We’re looking for a Product Lead to join our OVO Tech Product family. Our teams focus on shaping, defining and delivering the digital experiences for our millions of customers and thousands of colleagues.
This role in a nutshell:
Working as a Product Lead you’ll have the opportunity to transform digital experiences, platforms and tools and define the future of these products. These help our customers identify, pay for and use the right products for them, in a way that suits them. At OVO you’ll work with a talented team of engineers, researchers, experienced designers and analysts. You’ll build data-driven and hypothesis-led customer experiences, which deliver against our business strategy.
You’ll experiment your way to fulfilling customer and colleagues needs and providing value, and you'll often be found story-mapping, canvas-filling, needs-assessing, optimising, stakeholder-managing and test-and-learning. You’ll work closely with the Heads of Product and other Product Leads across our respective domains.
You’ll lead a team of Product Managers and Senior Product Managers, helping them to shape their roadmaps as well as supporting their personal development and growth.
Your key outcomes will be:
- A proven product leader with experience building and leading teams with a focus on your team’s development and engagement and delivering measurable impact.
- Able to demonstrate customer and sector expertise at both macro and micro levels, either in the energy sector or others related to previous role(s)
- You can clearly and succinctly articulate a strategic vision, demonstrating an understanding of the influencing factors at play within that, including the technology landscape
- Ability to communicate clearly and deliver your message to a wide range of stakeholders up to and including executive leadership team
- Passionate about design and customer experience, knowledgeable about product design, persuasion and content strategy, including product marketing
- Working with the Head(s) of Product, and your teams, you will own the product vision, strategy and roadmap throughout a product lifecycle.
- You can proactively manage a wide range of stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for the business.
- You will embed customers at the heart of product decisions, using qualitative and quantitative data to define hypotheses to test and solve problems and to simplify complex customer experiences.
- You are tenacious in gathering online and offline customer insights - including research, customer contact, complaints and reviews - to inform your decisions.
- You’ll lead your team with an atmosphere of enthusiasm, fun and commitment.
- Focus on how to get ideas off the ground quickly - identifying the most efficient path to delivering the maximum impact with the resources and time available.
- Act as a Champion for your product area both in and outside your team - understand how it fits into the wider product offering, how it could evolve and inspire your team to do more and critically how to communicate.
- Be an ambassador for our wider product community - using that as an opportunity to learn, get support from other like minded individuals and give back to the wider OVO team.
You’ll be a successful Product Lead here at OVO if you…
