Product Manager, Risk Tech

As the Product Manager for Risk Tech - Claims, you’ll be thinking about our overall Claims experience. You will be assessing and creating the products around how to report an accident, how to update our internal records, work with external insurance partners and get the driver back on the road. Given Insurance is Lyft’s largest variable cost, we are looking for someone who can think about overall P&L and influence leadership. Finally, Lyft is partnering with industry leading Insurance carriers and technology providers, and the Product Manager is expected to drive meaningful strategic conversations that would shape the long term structure of our Insurance program.
Responsibilities:- Lead the long-term vision, strategy, and product execution for the end to end claims process
- Integrate the latest ML, AI, and LLM tools into the overall process utilizing our large claims and telematics datasets to drive improvements for both accuracy and speed
- Focus on enabling key use cases, driving impact and balancing technical considerations
- Translate customer and internal-user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and deep understanding of the risk tech landscape
- Execute on the roadmap with proper OKRs and project tracking
- Communicate roadmaps, priorities and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executive levels
- Ensure that key leadership & stakeholders are aligned on proper priorities, opportunities and progress on key initiatives
- Minimum of 4 years of product management or relevant product experience
- Have a data driven mindset and are comfortable working with large data sets and technical internal tools
- Detail oriented with superior organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you
- History of effectively working cross functionally and bridging gaps with multiple teams
- Be able to define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
- Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to users, to press, and other audiences
- Experience leading post-launch optimizations including developing testing strategies
- Experience building B2C software or internal tools in large complex ecosystems
- Experience with Insurance Products or working closely with Insurance partners
- An academic background in Engineering, Computer Science, or related science discipline

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
The expected range of pay for this position in the San Francisco area is $162,000 - $180,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
