Project / Account Manager 

Location: 1 day per week from the office in Heidelberg; the rest fully remote

Type: 24-month FTC (with a possibility of permanent/FTE in the future)

 

ROLE MISSION

We are a global advertising agency specialized in building and running dedicated ("in-house") creative teams for our clients. We are passionate about crafting compelling campaigns and building lasting relationships with our clients. 

Join our dynamic creative team in Heidelberg and help us manage strategy, creative and production processes (digital/social/print) for our client - one of the largest FMCG companies in the world!

The role is very client facing. The PM will be the main point of contact for the clients next to the Account Manager.   

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

Project Set Up

  • Taking overall ownership of integrated creative projects from brief to fulfillment.
  • Being the key point of contact for brand teams
  • Working closely with strategy and creative teams in preparing advertising strategy and milestones for the client.
  • Liaising with clients to determine campaign scope and produce estimates and schedules.
  • Identifying, exploiting and managing ad hoc opportunities when they arise.
  • Estimating complex, cross-platform projects.

Project Delivery

  • Schedule projects in line with the correct internal resource and help to source external resource where necessary.
  • Ensure projects follow the agency process and are completed on time and on budget.
  • Work closely with Digital Producers to unify skills needed to execute integrated campaigns.
  • Motivate and manage teams under tight deadlines.
  • Educate and manage internal stakeholders in relevant production processes where necessary.
  • Drive efficiency and creative excellence at all times.

Reporting

  • Provide job reporting to the Team Lead on a regular basis to ensure projects are running correctly, to budget and schedule.
  • Ensures they understand how to report and manage operational income for their projects in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Escalates any queries concerning invoicing, or estimates provided by the studio on their projects to the DL and AM

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

This role will be underpinned by passion and ambition, and those with experience in running digital and social campaigns within a creative agency will have an advantage. What we want to see is a proven track record of producing multiple complex projects. You should have meticulous attention to detail, understand the importance of the profitability of your projects for the agency and you will have proven yourself as a safe pair of hands on the day-to-day running of multiple prestigious projects.

  • Experience managing print, digital and integrated campaigns in a creative and production agency.
  • Fluency in German language
  • Be unafraid to ask questions and have an innate ability to identify and manage project risk.
  • Strong track record in executing campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Previous experience of Project Budget Management and Scheduling.
  • Previous experience of Resource and Production services sourcing.
  • Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients and build strong and effective working relationships.
  • Have a positive, can-do outlook, willing to leverage past experience to provide the best solution for each project you own.
  • Be willing to share your experience where relevant and when it adds to the offering to the client.
  • Be financially conscientious when managing the delivery of a project ensuring all relevant parties are aware of financial implications of delays, additional amends and re-briefs.
  • Be able to verify the qualitative and quantitative output of a project against the project objectives.
  • Act as the first line of contact and digital expert for the Client and Account Mangers in the life cycle of a digital project.
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.
