PURE IN PRAGUE
We opened our R&D Second Home (besides the one in Silicon Valley) in Prague in January 2020 and since then we have experienced unbelievable growth. Our Engineers are solving complex engineering problems (from low-level system software to cloud computing) that help us innovate our cutting-edge products. Besides our world-class Software Engineering teams, we have many other talented colleagues working in Product Management, Sales, Finance, and HR to name a few. What’s more, we’ve developed these teams from talent across the globe.
FLASHARRAY
Our customers love our flagship product FlashArray, for its simplicity of management, a constant flow of new and exciting innovation and its ability to expand on cutting-edge technology with no downtime, ever. Most recently, we extended the value of our FlashArray capabilities into the cloud with CloudSnap and Cloud Block Store for AWS. These new innovations enable our customers to leverage the agility of the public cloud for both traditional IT and cloud-native applications.
To help FlashArray remain an industry-leading product, our team in Prague is developing core and groundbreaking features for our customers across the globe. Data has no boundaries and with it, our engineering reach to tackle problems in the Data domain being in the cloud, private data centers, or the hybrid cloud. DEVTEST TEAM
Join the DevTest team, a group of Python engineers dedicated to constructing platform solutions that facilitate engineering feature development. As part of this team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our core software, Purity, by developing and enhancing feature sets. One crucial example involves FixTest, a pytest-based system test framework that enables comprehensive end-to-end functional, integration, and stress/torture testing. This emphasis on testing is vital because we prioritize customer satisfaction as the ultimate measure of success. Ensuring the highest code quality is essential for delivering top-notch experiences to our customers, demanding rigorous testing across multiple dimensions.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE...
- Design and develop automated test frameworks and infrastructure for all-flash storage arrays.
- Excel in software test automation, constructing test platforms and pipelines to elevate code delivery quality via distributed systems, employing hardware, VMs, or Cloud technologies.
- Enhance product quality and the reliability of automated testing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with elite storage engineers, contributing to test automation requirements during product design reviews.
- Thrive in a collaborative, transparent, and agile environment.
- Innovate ways to create more efficient products by harnessing open-source technologies.
- Collaborate across support, release, engineering, and management teams to enhance product quality through expanded automated test coverage.
- Embrace a flat organizational structure, taking on challenges proactively, and assuming responsibilities for customer-centric outcomes, primarily catering to internal engineering teams.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- Solid software development and engineering experience, particularly in Python and object-oriented programming. Background in infrastructure roles or DevOps is advantageous.
- Proficiency in working with or interacting with Unix/Linux systems.
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and OSI model.
- Desirable experience in Continuous Integration, preferably Jenkins & GitHub actions.
- Preferred knowledge of networking, block & file storage protocols.
- Optional familiarity with Go, Java, C/C++ (low priority).
- Optional exposure to Azure (AVS), VMWare, K8s, Docker.
- Main Tech Stack: Python, Linux, container technologies.
You will be based in Prague, Czech Republic. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. As outlined in Pure’s Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
