Key Responsibilities  

The QA Engineer will be responsible to ensure development targets and measures are achieved. 

The person in this role will be reporting to the Head of Engineering in the Brand Experience team, but will also have a report line to the Technical Director for the Italian market. 

At this scope, the QA Engineer will: 

  • Fully understand Italian regulation and its repercussions on product requirements;  
  • Understand all the aspects of the business the product under test is connected to; 
  • Work closely with Software Development, Architecture, Operations and Commercial teams and any other stakeholder of the product under test; 
  • Verify that requirements are clear and equally understood by the department requiring it and the people who will have to implement it; 
  • Design and Review Test Cases based on requirements and non-functional features; 
  • Implement automated tests (depending on automation skills); 
  • Regularly review test plans and processes, adapting to new requirements, but also in consideration of any potential major issue or incident. 
  • Perform regularly manual and automated testing; 
  • Report defects and suggest improvements employing the issue tracker in use within the Company; 
  • Keep good communication channel with all stakeholders;
  • Contribute to maintain a productive, collaborative, and relaxed work environment. 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Deliver in accordance with market regulation with agreed scope, acceptance criteria, time, financial, and quality measures; 
  • Report regularly and escalate in a timely manner whether required; 
  • Identify risks in his/her business and take responsibility for reporting risks in a timely, open, and appropriate manner. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 
  • Collaborate with and support test team members.

Additional Skills Considered To Be An Asset 

  • Good understanding of the Italian regulation within the gaming industry 
  • Good understanding of the communication protocols PACG, PGDA, PSQF, etc. 
  • Familiarity with Agile 
  • Exposure to automated front-end testing using Selenium/Protractor 
  • OO programming 
  • Professional experience in a betting/gaming company 
  • Good experience with test scripting
