Role & Job purpose 

We’re looking for a passionate Quality Assurance Data Specialist to join our team in Tallinn or Budapest. Your mission is to help implement and enforce our quality management strategy and framework from a data perspective.

As a Data Specialist, you’ll work with various QA stakeholders connected to different functions (CS, Compliance, Payments, Vendors). 

You will be contributing by preprocessing data for analysis purposes, building out our reporting, creating data connections between our different inputs and helping present QA data in the best possible way.

You will support the QA team through hands on data maintenance, management and analysis. You’ll be expected to communicate technical subjects clearly to a range of non-technical stakeholders, creating visualizations and reports to share findings effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our Quality Framework and our requirements;
  • Assisting Quality’s data needs across all its areas (CS, FinCrime, Pay OPS, Vendors, …)
  • Ensuring sufficient skillset in relevant programming languages like SQL, Python and data platform user interfaces (i.e. Looker and Superset);
  • Assisting in setting up data-related processes, optimizing and automating manual workflows, supporting data-driven approaches;
  • Assisting the Quality Team with data needs, including, but not limited to: building reporting, routing our data into a standardized location and format, data monitoring for trends and risks, 
  • Building data tools where needed to assist the quality team;
  • Responsible for setting up and tracking the relevant domain level metrics that include developing KPIs;
  • Assisting the integration of external quality tools;
  • Up-skilling operational team on Looker and/or Superset dashboards;
  • Working across teams to fix data issues related to Quality;
  • Be the initial point of contact for Quality data requests, acting as a subject-matter expert;
  • Creating source of truth dashboards or data analysis for compliance and regulatory requirements with the analyst team on a need basis;
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the reporting provided to Wise QA in terms of regulatory compliance and legal requirements;
  • Document all project related tasks in the QA Jira board and meet deadlines while actively participating in and meaningfully contributing to meetings.

  • Communicates with confidence
  • Strong analytical skillsIs well organized, and able to divide their time between specific activities in order to get things done
  • Detail oriented, great at working autonomously and meeting deadlines
  • Is reliable, adaptable and displays commitment to the team’s goals
  • Good knowledge in Google Workspace and Confluence
  • Good knowledge Looker and/or Superset
  • You’re able to query SQL databases, joining multiple tables to extract relevant data
  • Ability to clean and preprocess raw data for analysis purposes

 

Nice to have:

  • Bonus points if you worked with Snowflake, Airflow
  • Being familiar with Python would be an advantage, but not a necessity
  • Understanding of statistical methods and techniques for data analysis would be an advantage, but not a necessity
