The Thailand Reports Beauty and Personal Care Analyst focuses on providing thought-leading insights and analysis across multiple categories within the Thai market. Our Analysts are tasked with challenging our clients’ ideas and thinking by providing fresh insight and analysis with impact building upon our proprietary data and analysis. 

 

What You Will Be Doing:

Content writing:

  • Independently conduct internal research to thoroughly understand your focus categories and create own syndicated content (content is written in English but then translated into Thai which would need to be reviewed by the analyst) 
  • Use a wide range of research tools, including primary and secondary sources alongside quantitative research to create content to a monthly publishing schedule within defined categories.
  • Work with Manager to scope out and execute your research reports, including: developing objectives, drafting quantitative questionnaires, and to flesh out insights & implications. 

Client engagement:    

  • Respond to straight forward client requests and analyst calls via presentation-based and conversational-style engagements based on areas of coverage
  • Deliver in-person presentations with clients

Marketing support:

  • Support with representing Mintel at trade shows/conferences/marketing events, present to large groups
  • Support with representing Mintel in the media

Other: 

  • Contribute to internal team/department projects

 

What we are looking for:

Data analysis

  • Has a strong grasp of data produced within their team, is comfortable creating new data sets (eg via consumer questions, GNPD reports) 
  • Is comfortable using further analysis techniques to draw out additional insights from data sets - Has a base understanding of all data driven research that Mintel produces, and can bring this into their own work to bolster insight creation 
  • Has an understanding of how macro-factors influence market changes and is actively seeking out key data points/sets which may indicate future market trends/shifts in behaviour

Critical thinking

  • Displays a strong level of curiosity, is keen to understand the why behind the what 
  • Is able to make a coherent and logical argument in analysis of a sector/market
  • Is able to connect ideas and develop strong inferences 
  • Develop insights with strong relevance to our client base, having understood what is important

Written & verbal communication

  • Written content expresses a more confident tone (active voice) and clear opinions, with simpler language and a solid structure –
  • Written content is strongly opportunity/insight-led –
  • Able to develop basic presentations and deliver to internal and external audiences

Commercially minded

  • Understands the strategic direction of Mintel and the role that their input plays in the commercial success of Mintel 
  • Delivers and interprets data with commercial implications for our clients in mind

Project management

    • Recognises the importance of managing projects to time and puts in a structure to ensure milestones are met 
    • Effectively deals with stakeholders 
    • Is able to interpret and clarify project briefs with managerial support
