We’re looking for a strategic and experienced Risk Operations Lead to join our Merchant Services team in China. This is a high-impact role that will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our payment facilitation services for our growing merchant base in China and globally.
What’s the job?
Lead and mentor a team of specialists, driving performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all aspects of the team's operations.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to mitigate risk and optimize processes. This will involve collecting insights, identifying trends, and recommending actionable solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Business Development, Support, Risk, R&D, Product, and Compliance to ensure seamless merchant experience.
Proactively manage high-profile merchant communications, resolving complex inquiries, and ensuring timely and effective escalation of critical issues.
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for client-facing teams, clients, and internal stakeholders, providing guidance, training, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Develop and maintain robust operational procedures and documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation, process optimization, and technology enhancements.
Is this you?
3-5 years of experience in a risk operations or similar role, preferably within a global payments company.
Proven experience leading and mentoring teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Result-oriented and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and driving positive change within the team and the organization.
Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
A strong understanding of the Chinese payments landscape and the regulatory environment is highly desirable.
