The Enterprise Security Team

Business Technology is on a mission to accelerate Okta’s scale and growth. We bring world-class business acumen and technology expertise to every interaction. We also drive cross-functional collaboration and are focused on delivering measurable business outcomes.

The Enterprise Security team oversees the security and protection of Okta’s internal resources and infrastructure. We work closely with teams from Business Technology, Security, and various functional teams across different business units to ensure our enterprise is secure and our security controls are effective.

Security Product Analyst

As a Product Analyst on the Enterprise Security team, you report to the Senior Manager of Enterprise Security and play a key role in driving the scope and success of security programs. You collaborate with engineers on the Enterprise Security team to optimize security performance, identify trends, and make data driven recommendations to improve our product capabilities. You will solicit feedback from stakeholders and partners from different teams across the company to capture requirements and ensure success of security programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Define technical, business, and security requirements for projects and systems
• Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, and identify areas for improvement
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across the company
• Balance the needs and expectations of key stakeholders and partners against security priorities 
• Fill backlogs, drive sprint grooming meetings, and help prioritize initiatives based on project objectives, requirements, and resource constraints
• Define details that will support the project roadmap and work with project managers to uphold them
• Identify and track key metrics to measure success of security programs
• Develop runbooks, procedure manuals, and other documentation to aid in team cross training

Requirements and Skills

• 3-5 years experience in a product management or analyst role in information technology or cybersecurity
• Ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into functional specification documents and Jira tickets

• Experience working with commonly implemented IT security tools such as Okta, EDRs (Endpoint Detection and Response), DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and MDMs (Mobile Device Management)
• Strong background in information technology
• Working knowledge of security fundamentals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Desire to work in a fast paced and engaging environment

Nice to haves, but not required

• Experience with a modern scripting language (Python preferred)
• Experience working with REST APIs

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$114,000—$172,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $128,000—$192,000 USD
